So I have made some progress at last and yes I did watch the whole 2 DVDs of Pride and Prejudice and have had very little sleep.
I still have to make some more pieces for the dress.
I have 2 wings down 2 to go and I still have to make the cape and attachment mechanism for the wings.
The hat needs a bit more felting I'm afraid and then a stiffen and the aura of silk added.
Perhaps if I say it a bit more quickly it won't seem so daunting.
Photo shoot is Tuesday.
If I ever decide to a project with a lot of hand sewing, please remind me of this post!
It's looking good.

ReplyDeleteDear Pam--
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful-I can't wait to see the finished product!!
My daughters and I are HUGE Pride and Prejudice fans, but I never thought of popping in the DVD to use as a 'backdrop' for my felting. This is truly inspired!!

ReplyDeleteHeather I've watched it so many times I don't really need to watch the screen I just listen and enjoy the language.
ReplyDeleteOur work can be so much fun, but also daunting and scary, but you and I know that the endresult, wether it is good or even not that good, gives you the huge learning curve and knowledge you need.
ReplyDeleteit is beautiful.
